"Plasticizers" are not only in food, but also in clothing, and they have a bad effect on human health.

Yesterday, the Beijing Commercial Daily reported that an international environmental protection organization was investigating, including Armani, Armani, Calvin Klein, ZARA, Levi "s, ESPRIT, H&M" and other international and domestic well-known brand clothing, including toxic chemical plasticizers.

O-phthalate two

And environmental hormone nonylphenol polyethoxylates, of which two of ZARA and Levi "s brands" are also found to contain carcinogenic substances, "aromatic amines".

In response, some enterprises responded that they would consider positive improvement.

Two brands detect carcinogens

Media said the survey showed that ZARA, Metersbonwe, Armani, Calvin Klein, ESPRIT, H&M and other 20 well-known brands of international and domestic fashion clothing, in the production process used a variety of toxic and harmful substances, and eventually these toxic and harmful substances in products.

According to media reports, in April this year, the international environmental protection organization purchased 141 samples of clothing in 29 countries and regions in the world, including men's wear, women's wear and children's wear, including jeans, trousers, T-Shirts, dresses and underwear.

The results showed that 89 of these samples were tested for environmental hormones.

Nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (

NPE), accounting for 2/3 of the total number of samples, and almost all brands.

Among them, the Khaki colored trousers produced by ZARA were found to contain NPE, plasticizers and aromatic amines, all of which are carcinogens.

Levi "s's black T-shirt also contains aromatic amine.

It is said that these toxic substances interfere with endocrine and may harm the body.

A responsible person of the organization said.

Clothing remains

It is just the tip of the iceberg that is used in a large number of toxic and harmful substances in clothing production.

"The production process of these big brands has a lot of pollution emissions, which threatens more people's health through the food chain."

Data show that NPE is widely used in printing and dyeing and washing processes in textile production, and will be quickly decomposed into stronger toxic environmental hormone nonylphenol when discharged into the environment.

Nonylphenol has strong toxicity to aquatic organisms, which can interfere with endocrine system and affect reproductive system.

At the same time, it is durable and difficult to degrade, and can be accumulated through the food chain.

The plasticizer, o-phthalic acid two, can enter the human body through hand to mouth contact. It has reproductive toxicity, which can lead to a decrease in sperm count and female infertility. The threat to children and pregnant women is particularly important.

Enterprises involved responded positively

For alleged clothing "drug-related" yesterday,

ZARA parent company Inditex

A statement was made to the reporters that it was not possible to reply to specific clothing because it had not been notified and informed of any specific analysis results before.

Because all test analysis must be controlled and the results need to be properly reported.

The company also stressed that "we can ensure that the health and safety of products are 100% high requirements and guarantees in the production process. The health and safety standards they pursue are based on the highest requirements in the world."

Mei Bang clothing said that the company has already developed a list of restricted substances and has been included in the national standard of all restricted substances.

"For these substances, we require all suppliers to meet the relevant control standards."

The company further explained that certain substances such as NPE, which are not included in the national standards, are harmless to human body but may be degraded in the environment.

Hazardous substance

However, Smith Barney will actively consider listing it and push all suppliers to meet the relevant control standards.

Fan Ke public relations responded that at present, there are fewer than 200 suppliers in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta region, and that "micro-blog has always been concerned about the quality of products and emissions and pollutant residues in the process of garment production".

We will urge suppliers to improve residue detection and pollution control capabilities.

At the same time, Fan Cheng pin set a special set.

Assessment mechanism

If suppliers fail to meet the requirements, we will issue a notice of rectification to them.

New national standard for children's clothing

Strictly control toxic substances

It is not surprising that "plasticizers" are contained in clothing.

Experts from Guangzhou City Textile Inspection Institute said plasticizers are also commonly used in children's clothing and toys production.

Plasticizers are widely used polymer materials in industry, and plasticizers are often used in children's clothing, such as pigment printing, plastic accessories, ornaments, etc.

Some clothes will add some plasticizers to improve their sense of touch. If used, they may exceed the standard.

At present, children's clothing exported to Europe and America will be tested and controlled according to local standards for plasticizers and other chemicals.

In August this year, the safety technical specification for infant and child textile products was also strictly controlled by plasticizer indicators.

According to the requirements of the new national standard, accessories and PVC printing made of PVC material will be used to evaluate plasticizer on infant products. The total amount of 6 kinds of o-phenyl two formic acid (plasticizer chemical name) should not exceed 0.1%.
