Tunisia Investment In China

Leather Industry

It is a traditional industry in Tunisia and an important economic pillar of Tunisia.

Amor Buzuwadat, director of Tunisian national leather and leather shoes center, said recently that China has advanced equipment, technology and technology. With the continuous improvement of product quality, the competitiveness of Chinese brands in the international market is also growing. Tunisia also has its unique advantages. If the two sides cooperate in the leather industry, it is possible to achieve a win-win situation.

Industry development potential is unique.

At present, Tunisia has a total of 442 leather enterprises in China, creating an annual output value of about 1 billion 300 million tunas (1 US dollars or 1.50 Tunisia), 70% of which are used for export.

The latest statistics show that Tunisia's exports of leather products amounted to 1 billion 45 million DAL in 2011 and the import volume was 669 million DAL.

It should be said that after the unrest in Tunisia in January 2011, the whole country withered away.

In most industries, production and exports have dropped sharply, and the national economy has even suffered a negative growth of 1.8%. However, the leather industry is thriving, achieving double growth in output value and export, and maintaining a good momentum of strong growth, showing the great potential for development of the industry.

Tunisia leather industry has a rich and professional workforce. There are 3 state-level and 5 local technology training centers in China. Among them, the national training center mainly trains designers, tailors, technicians and senior technicians in leather shoes, leather boots, leather clothing, leather bags, and maintenance technicians for mechanical equipment.

In addition, Tunisia leather industry's labor cost is relatively cheap.

However, although Tunisia leather industry has a long history, it has not developed much in the past decades, and the whole industry is small in scale. The average number of enterprises employed is 70~80 people. A considerable number of enterprises still stay in the workshop era. The equipment is backward, the technology is obsolete, the product quality is coarse, and the style is dull.

In addition, Tunisia's unemployment problem is becoming increasingly serious, with unemployment rate reaching 20%.

In order to solve the employment problem and raise production level, Tunisian government urgently wants foreign investors to invest suddenly.

Fur production exports permit "gold absorption"

According to Tunisian industry tradition, the whole

Leather industry

It is divided into leather making enterprises, leather shoes domestic sales enterprises, leather shoes export enterprises, high boots boots boots manufacturers, domestic leather goods enterprises, export leather goods enterprises, leather garment manufacturing enterprises and related accessories production enterprises.

Tunisia is a fur producing country, mainly producing cowhide, sheepskin, camel skin and a small amount of pig skin, ostrich skin and peacock skins.

But there are only 20 tannery enterprises in the whole country, most of them are workshops of less than 50 workers, and only 6 employees are over 50 enterprises, including 1 nearly 100 enterprises and 1 400 enterprises.

Perhaps because of this, Tunisia exports a lot of fur every year and imports a lot of fine leather at the same time.

Such enterprises are open to foreign investors.

There are about 25 leather goods enterprises in Tunisia, mainly producing leather bags, belts, automotive interior decorations, tourist products and so on.

These enterprises are small in scale, mostly in 10~20, and 50 in individual enterprises.

These enterprises are not open to foreign capital.

There are more than 50 leather goods export enterprises, and the products are basically the same as those of domestic enterprises, but the scale of enterprises is much larger. Most enterprises are about 100 people, and many enterprises reach 400~500 people.

It is now open to foreign investors.

Fur production is suitable for Chinese investors

There are currently 12 fur making enterprises, most of which are within 50 people, and only one family has more than 150 people.

These ones here

Enterprises mainly produce fur clothing.

At the same time, for domestic sales and export.

This is probably the most promising field for Chinese enterprises and the strength of Chinese enterprises.

Compared with the leather garments produced in China, Tunisia's fur clothing is old and rough, but it is all genuine leather, without imitation leather and artificial leather.

It is understood that there is a great demand for fur clothing, both in the Tunisian market and in the European market.

With China's design and technology level, it is believed that high value-added can be created and market will be opened soon.

Tunisia has a relatively small number of accessories manufacturing enterprises, which are small in size, mostly in 20 people, and a few are between 50~70 people, and there are no more than 100 enterprises in 50 enterprises.

It mainly produces accessories and accessories related to leather products, including soles, heels, shoe last, labels, etc.

Before 2011, Tunisia imported "leather products" from China.

Such enterprises are also open to foreign capital, and Chinese enterprises undoubtedly have advantages.

Bbu Zoe Wada has repeatedly stressed that Chinese enterprises have irreplaceable advantages in leather design and production. Tunisia welcomes Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in the industry.

He said Tunisia leather and leather shoes center is ready to welcome Chinese entrepreneurs and investors.
