In the third stage, China's manufacturing and Chinese enterprises have further improved their capabilities and begun to export our industrial capabilities to the whole world. At this stage, we are beginning to challenge some competitive multinational companies in some high-tech fields. " Li Dongsheng recalled.

Now, the world is not calm. Sino US trade friction has expanded from the trade deficit issue to many fields, leading to the shift of China's industrial chain related to the US business. "They are very accustomed to occupying the upper part of the industrial chain, but China is now able to challenge this position, which is the result of market competition," Li Dongsheng said. "China has established a global comparative advantage in manufacturing, and in most industries, China has become the world's factory because of our comparative advantage in manufacturing, which is not a gift from others. It is the result of the efforts of several generations of China.

Li Dongsheng told reporters: "after China's accession to the WTO, China's economy has quicker to integrate into the global economy. But openness and cooperation can go further. In Li Dongsheng's view, the trend of economic globalization will not change, but the rules will change, and China will adapt to this change. His proposal for globalization is to implement targeted industrial policies, retain core industries, consolidate the layout of domestic industrial chains, and help domestic enterprises expand their global layout and enhance their ability to operate globally.

TCL itself is so practiced. In recent years, TCL has accelerated the pace of building global industrial parks. Improve the new mechanism of R & D project management

In addition to external environmental changes, the new display industry is in the stage of technology upgrading and shuffling and merging. In the field of LCD panels, Chinese enterprises have come back to the top. According to QQ consulting data, the top five shipments and shipping areas of the LCD panel in 2019 were BOE, Qun, LG, TCL Huaxing and Samsung. As Samsung and LG continue to withdraw from the LCD market this year, the global LCD panel will change. But in the field of OLED, one of the future directions of technology, Samsung and LG still have their own advantages, especially in the small and medium-sized OLED system, and LG is technically monopolized on large scale OLED.

But more importantly, the voice of the upstream industry is still in the hands of foreign enterprises. The key materials and core equipment of China's panel industry are still heavily dependent on imports. For example, the domestic new display key luminescent materials occupy only about 5% of the domestic market share, and the localization rate of LCD and OLED core materials is only 47% and 17% respectively.

Li Dongsheng said that the development of China's new display industry is faced with two problems. First, the US has gradually strengthened its technical restrictions on China, and the way of cooperation between Chinese enterprises and new technologies from the United States has been blocked. In recent years, the United States has launched a trade war against our country unilaterally. Apart from raising tariffs on products and selling high-tech products, the way for Chinese enterprises to acquire new technologies in the us through investment is basically blocked. Two, our new display materials have a long development cycle and high risks. Our country has been decentralized in the field of new display of key materials and core equipment, and the research and industry are out of line, and the research and development achievements such as materials and equipment are hard to be industrialized.

Li Dongsheng put forward two proposals for the development of new domestic display industry. First, it is suggested to strengthen technical cooperation with countries such as Japan and Europe in the field of new display materials and equipment. Japanese and European enterprises have a large number of key technologies in the field of new display materials and equipment.

"In particular, Japanese companies have maintained the global dominance in the field of semiconductor materials for a long time," he said. Japan also has a number of long-term family focused enterprises specializing in the development of a specific technology field, with high technology content, leading industry position and small company size. It is suggested that China's enterprises should be encouraged to carry out technical cooperation with various countries and regions such as Japan and Europe in a variety of ways to speed up the development and breakthroughs in key technologies of new display in China and enhance the core competitiveness of Chinese enterprises in the field of new display technology.

Second, Li Dongsheng suggested that the state should change the key research and development plan of new display materials project management mode and explore a new mechanism for R & D project management. It is suggested that we should open up the technological cooperation between new and downstream enterprises based on the national innovation center of the display industry, and organize the cooperation of R & D between basic research and development of enterprises and scientific research institutes, and the development of upstream key material technology with terminal application needs, and realize the industrialization from technology to application, and effectively accelerate the industrialization of technological achievements.
