The Ministry of personnel and social affairs experts said that in March this year, the unemployment rate of urban survey in China was 5.9%, and the employment situation was more severe than in previous years. At the end of the first quarter, the registered unemployment rate in cities and towns increased by 0.04 percentage points. Staff income is decreasing, and the pressure of mortgage loan is aggravated. The consumption of non essential goods has dropped sharply.
 
In the short term, it is hard to reconcile the increase of consumption and the reduction of income. Will price promotions have effect?
 
According to the market survey, the discount rate of clothing retail prices this year is higher than that of last year, but the price comparison is still on the high side of the current economic situation. Especially the new season clothes, the price is obviously lack of sincerity, such as a popular brand of cotton fiber based men's shorts, the price of 199 yuan / article.
 
Even if domestic cotton prices fall sharply, there will be a high premium to the clothing retail terminal, because the cost of raw materials is very small in total cost. Personnel wages, store rents, product development and brand publicity expenses occupy a major part, and this part of the cost is increasing year by year, once the price rises, it is difficult to drop again.
