Canadian Geese Set Up Eighth Local Factories In Quebec To Increase Their Employment.
Canada's high-end outdoor brand Canada Goose (Canada goose) was officially put into use in eighth wholly owned factories in Canada in April 29th.
The production facility is located in Quebec, with an area of 10700 square feet, and the number of employees is currently around 100. It is expected to increase to 650 by the end of this year.
This is the second factory of Canada Goose in Quebec. The first one was opened in 2017, and the number of employees was 500.
"We are not only opening offices, but also providing jobs for hundreds of people to help rebuild the local garment manufacturing industry.
We are very pleased to be able to build factories here to help local communities and improve our capacity. "
The CEO Dani Reiss of Canada Goose is represented.
In cooperation with Montr al International, the official economic development agency in Montreal District, Canada Goose will take their staff training program to the new factory, providing all employees with necessary skills training such as sewing, management and so on.
At present, more than 800 employees in Canada have completed the training program and become full-time employees of Canada Goose.
In addition to two factories in Quebec, Canada Goose has three factories in Winnipeg and Toronto.
According to the official press release, 20% of Canadian apparel manufacturers are employees of Canada Goose.
In March 2017, Canada Goose was listed on the New York stock exchange and the Toronto stock exchange.

In April of this year, Canada Goose announced that 6 stores will be set up this autumn and winter.
Among them, 2 stores are located in Europe, 1 in the United States, and 3 in Canada.
