Shanghai Customs Export Textile And Clothing Increased By 6.8% Over The Same Period Last Year.

In the first 11 months of this year, Shanghai customs area to the United States Export textile Clothing 19 billion 880 million US dollars, an increase of 6.9%; exports to the EU 19 billion 200 million US dollars, an increase of 7.3%; exports to Japan, US $14 billion 90 million, down 1.6%. The total export value of the three developed economies accounted for 59.7% of the total value of textile and garment exports in the same period. In addition, exports to ASEAN amounted to 7 billion 770 million US dollars, an increase of 17.8%, compared with the overall growth rate of textile and garment exports in the same period, which was 11 percentage points higher.


According to statistics, textile and garment exports accounted for more than 80% of the general trade mode exports. In the first 11 months of this year, the customs and Excise Department of Shanghai customs exported 77 billion 490 million dollars of textile and clothing in general trade mode, an increase of 8.1%, accounting for 86.9% of the total value of textile and garment exports in the same period. Over the same period, exports of US $10 billion 820 million in processing trade decreased by 2.6%, accounting for 12.1% of the total value of textile and garment exports in the same period.


From the perspective of the nature of enterprises, the export growth rate of private enterprises is higher than the total. In the first 11 months of this year, private enterprises exported textiles and clothing from Shanghai customs area to 48 billion 80 million US dollars, an increase of 11.4%, accounting for 11.4% of the total value of textile and clothing exports in the customs area from 51.7% in the same period last year to 54%. Over the same period, foreign invested enterprises exported 25 billion 40 million US dollars, an increase of 1.7%; and the export of state-owned enterprises was US $15 billion 990 million, an increase of 2.1%.


Shanghai customs officials said the world manufacturing industry Further warming has prompted the recovery of market demand, stimulating the growth of China's textile and clothing exports to the US, Europe and ASEAN. But it is also worth noting that the rise in domestic production costs has led to the outflow of orders, making China's international market share of textile and clothing exports being grabbed. In addition, frequent technical trade measures abroad have further hindered China's textile and clothing exports.
