In 2003, "Ximan", "Dongming", "Jinghua" and "Hengli" were recognized as famous trademarks in Hebei Province, and "Wufa", "Shulan", "Ximan", "Dazhong" and "bailiter" were applied for Chinese famous brand titles. Large scale enterprises have developed rapidly. In 2003, the market transaction volume reached 5 billion yuan, and the foreign exchange earnings from exports reached 370 million US dollars. In order to make the leather industry bigger and stronger and create "China's leather capital", relying on the leather mall, in 2003, the municipal Party committee and the municipal government planned Xinji garment industrial zone, which covers an area of 2004 mu. Up to now, 18 enterprises have entered the zone for construction, and 5 enterprises are in the process of preparation.
