Li Fusheng is my fellow townsman and the pride of Dalian people.

In football city Dalian, his reputation is like his name, a hero of victory.

My generation knows that Li Fusheng started in 1981 when the Chinese team won Kuwait.

At that time, I was studying in Liaoning Normal University. There was no television in my family. That evening, my father and I sat in front of the red light radio, listening to live broadcast.

The moment Li Fusheng held the penalty, we cheered in front of the radio.

It is precisely because of this game, mom and dad bought a 12 inch Toshiba black-and-white TV.

Unfortunately, I seldom saw Li Fu Sheng's brilliant performance of Chinese football.

After graduating from University, I went to work in the Dalian daily. In 1984, I participated in the founding of the "bang bang Island weekly" and also acted as editor of Sports Edition.

Under Chen Zhaobi, Li Fusheng is a tough child who can't afford toys. He is a poor student wearing a pair of shoes for two years.

Sometimes he didn't live much. He went to the restaurant to pick up some dishes that he had discarded. He took them home and helped his mother to wash them and pickle them.

When the children of the poor begin to be masters of the family, they know the hardships of life when they are well versed in personnel, and conversely, this kind of life has tempered his hard-working character.

I remember someone said that toys are children's angels. However, this cute little angel has nothing to do with childhood Li Fusheng. Many times, he stood in front of the shop window, staring at the colourful toys behind the bright glass.

Toys can not be bought, but Xiao Fu wins the pleasure of playing football.

It costs ten yuan for a football, which is an astronomical figure for Li Fusheng's family.

But the poor have a poor way.

One day, Fu Sheng did not know where to pick up the broken leather ball thrown by his own home, he was as good as a treasure, and put all the broken cotton in his house in.

This is the first football he kicked.

If you have a ball, you need sneakers.

Later, mom bought a pair of strength shoes for Fu Sheng, usually he could not bear to wear them. Only when he played with other teams did he wear them out.

He wore these shoes for two years.

Sometimes his mother forced him to put on his sneakers and go to school. But when he came to the playground, he took off his shoes and kicking his bare feet.

At the end of 1965, the Liaoning provincial youth team selected Li Fusheng. When the little rich and the future were full of happiness, the overwhelming hurricane swept across the whole of China.

Helplessly, he graduated from high school and entered a factory. Sometimes he played basketball with his second brother in his spare time.

When his brother saw Fu Sheng's quick response and good jumping ability, he joked, "I think you are more suitable to be a goalkeeper than a striker."

From then on, he pestered his second brother to save the ball.

Li Fusheng began his career as a gatekeeper.

In order to embrace hope and realize his dream, Li Fusheng paid a heavy price.

He was determined to practise the penalty kick. One time he threw his finger on the ground and dislocated his fingers. He was so excited that he had to bite his teeth and bring it to training.

His right arm was injured and his elbow was hydronephrosis. But he asked the doctor to pump and then practice. After a big exercise class, he often lost seven or eight kilograms of meat.

When it's windy and rainy, it rolls up and down like a mud monkey. Someone jokes and says to him, "look at you, you can't even find objects."

Li Fusheng used hard sweat to bring about fruitful results.

He impressed people deeply in a series of major competitions at home and abroad with his superb skills.

In Syria, he made nine consecutive throws to make our team face the danger and was called the "magnet" by the local press. In the competition with the American cosmos, which has several world superstars, in the face of the other side's imbricate attack and the cannon shot, he sometimes dived and flew out of the fist and blocked the fifteen shots of the opponent. Li Fusheng's second elder brother called me and said he was very upset. His brother was 70 years old. He was 15 years older than Fu Sheng, and his elder brother was father. They had a very deep feeling.
