Hot summer days, originally the sales season of sandals, Xinjiang foreign trade merchants engaged in footwear wholesale have ushered in the small peak of winter boots export.

"These days, foreign businessmen have been shopping for winter shoes, and we have begun shipping goods to Central Asia."

On the 9 day, Wei Xiang, a businessman doing wholesale footwear business in the first phase of the border Hotel, seemed to be in a good mood.

Wei Xiang said that the export of winter boots, which was launched only in July, is one month ahead of schedule this year, which has made up for the loss of sandals sales this summer.

In Wei Xiang's shop, the reporter saw half of the shelves had been filled with winter shoes, mainly women's boots.

Li Pinghua, a merchant in the Frontier Hotel, also received foreign orders for winter boots.

"These days, there are three or four businessmen who call to order winter boots in Kazakhstan. In the past, winter shoes will not be ordered until July. This year, we will cooperate quickly."

In fact, since May this year, some merchants have begun shipping goods to Kazakhstan.

According to many merchants, the reason for early purchase of winter shoes is that Kazakhstan may raise tariffs again in the second half of this year, which will substantially increase the cost of products.

"It is said that the tariff increases a lot, so merchants purchase in advance."

From the Huoerguosi port, we know that the tariff increase in Kazakhstan is related to the customs union of Russia and Hakkas, because according to the "customs union" agreement, all countries will adopt a uniform tariff rate from the beginning of July this year under the framework of the customs union. The average tariff of Kazakhstan will be raised from the current 6 points to 11 points.

After the tariff increases, the prices of major products imported from China such as clothing, shoes and hats and food will rise.

In addition, Kazakhstan recently imposed restrictions on high and heavy import vehicles and increased the cost of foreign purchases.

It is understood that footwear has always been a staple of Xinjiang's exports, and exports exceed $100 million a month, that is, millions of dollars of shoes are exported to Central Asia every day.

Nearly 80% of the shoes in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are imported from China.

Because of the increasing demand in Central Asia, some manufacturers in the mainland began to pfer their exporting countries to Central Asia, and some enterprises directly set up factories in Central Asia to reduce product prices.
