China Textile Association Holds An Emergency Meeting On Energy Conservation And Emission Reduction

In May 6th, on the second day of the State Council held the national teleconference on energy saving and emission reduction, the China Textile Industry Association immediately convened an emergency meeting to study and implement the spirit of the State Council's energy conservation and emission reduction work, especially the spirit of Premier Wen Jiabao's important speech, and deploy the next phase of energy conservation and emission reduction work of the association.

Du Yuzhou, President of China Textile Industry Association chaired the meeting. Vice president Xu Kunyuan, Wang Tiankai and relevant professional associations attended the meeting.

The meeting held that the China Textile Industry Association has attached great importance to energy conservation and emission reduction in the textile industry, especially in the fields of printing and dyeing, chemical fiber and other fields, and has intensified the technological pformation efforts, and actively eliminated backward production capacity, which has made remarkable achievements in energy conservation and emission reduction.

At the meeting, Du Yuzhou emphasized that the energy conservation and emission reduction work in the textile industry is closely related to the implementation of inspections by local governments.

The central "iron fist" eliminated backward production capacity, and issued the specific targets of energy saving and emission reduction, and evaluated the performance of local governments with green GDP. This is a good opportunity for the textile industry to accelerate the progress of the industry.

Therefore, the association must actively implement the spirit of the central energy conservation and emission reduction working conference.

"As a trade association, while helping government departments formulate specific policy targets, we must make every effort to provide energy saving and emission reduction services for industrial enterprises, and guide enterprises to embark on the path of sustainable development of cleaner production and green environment."

Du Yuzhou asked all professional associations to keep abreast of the real data of energy conservation and emission reduction in industrial enterprises, to strengthen communication with relevant government departments, to encourage enterprises to adopt new technologies, new processes and new equipment, and to set up benchmarking enterprises for energy conservation, emission reduction and scientific and technological innovation in various fields of textile industry, so as to accelerate the structural adjustment of textile industry and change the pace of development.
