According to Brazil media reports, at the end of August this year, the 9 countries' Footwear Association of Latin America, including Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, Chile, Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador and Paraguay, reached an agreement in Argentina, and plans to jointly put pressure on governments to take measures to deal with the impact of unfair competition from China, Vietnam and other Asian countries on the regional market. These measures will include safeguards, minimum price, tighter customs inspection and anti-dumping.

Some local analysts believe that the establishment of such an alliance will be a very complex process.

Blanco, coordinator of Brazil National Federation of industry, pointed out that the most urgent task for enterprises in this region is to do their own things well, such as improving enterprise efficiency, product quality and labor quality. This is the most effective way to deal with competition.
