KENZO (Kenzo) Will Auction Paris'S Luxury And Collection Of Artworks.

Japanese fashion designer KENZO (Kenzo) will auction off the valuable wealth of Asian art, furniture and kimono in Paris's luxury home so as to cash in on the idea of starting a new life.

He has sold his Japanese style villa in eastern Paris, which is decorated with paper screens, a swimming pool, and a classical garden with fish ponds.

Last month, the auction of the late fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent collected a number of records.

But KENZO said he was more concerned about changing his way of life before he died.

The 70 year old told reporters: "now, I hope that life can turn over a page, some changes, more freedom and more relaxed."

The auction will take place in June 16th and 17th and is expected to win 150--200 million euros (204--273 million).

The highlights of the collection include a wooden horse image of the Han Dynasty around 100 ad, valued at 100 thousand euros.

There are also two Chinese statues of 300-500 BC, valued at 3-6 euros ($4-8) per seat.

KENZO's villa has been sold to a French buyer who plans to move to a new home overlooking the Seine River, an area of about 250 square meters.
